Cr Faith Hopkins

Councillor Faith Hopkins was elected as the Councillor for Marchant ward in the 2004 elections. The ward comprises the suburb of Chermside and parts of Aspley, Chermside West, Geebung, Zillmere and Kedron. Cr Hopkins is a member of the Environment and Sustainability Committee and the Transport and Major Projects Committee.

She is a member of the Chermside Historical Society, the Noonga Reconciliation Group and Labor for Refugees. Faith has a strong interest in environmental issues and proactive community development strategies and practices.

Nan Bosler

Nan Bosler, OAM is the president of the Australian Seniors Computer Clubs Association (ASCCA). Before retiring Nan worked in local government and was an adviser/ lecturer at the University of Technology, Sydney in the Faculty of Adult Education. She completed a 6 year term as a member of the NSW Ministerial Advisory Committee on Ageing in 2003; is a member of the Senior Portal Editorial Board and is a board member of COTA (NSW). She represents ASCCA on the Telstra Consumer Consultative Council, Australian Communications Industry Forum CAC and Consumers Telecommunications Network.

She was over 50 when she first went to University, has five tertiary qualifications covering Adult Education, Community Organisation, Local and Applied History and completed her last qualification, Masters in Local Government Management in 1995

Fran Warner

Fran Warner is a trainer and newsletter editor at the Pine Rivers Computer Club. She has been "messing around" with computers since before the advent of the PC, and describes herself as a Paint Shop Pro addict.

Geoff Clarke

As a Technology Specialist based in Brisbane, Geoff is responsible for helping Microsoft partners and customers understand how Microsoft’s technologies can assist them in achieving their business goals.

Geoff joined Microsoft in 1997 as a Technical Evangelist based in Redmond, Washington. There he worked closely with other software vendors, to ensure that they maximized their use of the Microsoft platform and thereby provided the best solution to their customers.

Geoff has extensive experience with software development companies around the world and is a graduate of the University of Queensland, where he studied Commerce.

Brian Korner

Brian Korner is the president of the Brisbane Seniors On Line (BSOL). He has been messing with computers for many years. He trained originally as an industrial chemist, but in more recent years he worked in various technical sales roles in the chemical industry. Now retired, Brian's main interest is in spreadsheets, though the advent of digital imaging has rekindled his interest in photography.

Jim Short

Jim Short is a member and former president of Brisbane U3A.

Jim will be speaking about the design of a lesson plan.

Margaret Tucker

Margaret Tucker is ASCCA's Clubs Development Officer, immediate past president of Computer Pals for Seniors - Holroyd, in Sydney's western suburbs. Margaret is also Holroyd's webmaster and newsletter editor, and has gained first placing in ASCCA's website competition for the past two years.

Paul Mann

Paul is an active member of the Genealogy Society of Queensland and chair of its Computer Interest Group since March this year.

Ralph Masters

Ralph Masters has been the IT Trainer and computer 'ex-spurt' for TOPAP (Toowoomba Older Peoples Action Program) over the past 6 years. He has seen a multitude of technological changes during his 25 years of involvement within the computing industry. Ralph's own IT business is now in its 14th year of operation.
