What's new

Keep Up to Date with ASCCA's web blog

Check ASCCA's blogsite at  www.ascca.wordpress.com/ for the very latest news from ASCCA. This is particularly important whilst ASCCA's webmaster is overseas during April, May and June.

Have you downloaded an RSS (Really Simple Syndication) reader yet? This is a great way to be kept informed immediately something is added to your favourite blogsite. A good place to download a reader is RSSReader.

National E-Security Week 2008

National E-Security Week was held in the week of 6-13 June, 2008. To increase awareness of internet safety, ASCCA undertook a number of initiatives. One of these was a seminar for members of ASCCA clubs on 10 June. The theme was Stay Safe and Enjoy the Internet held in the Sydney CBD.

Competition Guidelines 2008

The guidelines for each of these competitions are similar to 2007 guidelines, except for the Creative Writing Competition guidelines which have been changed for the 2008 competition.

ASCCA's 10th Annual Conference, Sydney

This year, ASCCA will celebrate its 10th birthday. Expect the 10th Annual Conference to be better than ever. It will be held on Wednesday and Thursday August 27-28, 2008 at Sydney's Powerhouse Museum. You can download the Registration brochure as a pdf form and either post it or fax it to the ASCCA office.

New clubs

It is hard to keep up with the number of clubs - new and established - that have joined ASCCA in the past few months. Check them out at Member clubs. The latest clubs to join are always listed on the right hand side of this page.

Some of these are existing clubs which have seen the benefits of joining ASCCA, whilst others such as EUROSCUG (Eurobodalla Shire), Parramatta Computer Pals for Seniors and the Muswellbrook Seniors Computer Club are newly established (with assistance in initial phases from ASCCA) but growing quickly.

Many existing clubs and centres are joining ASCCA in increasing numbers.
