2009 AGM
The 2009 AGM will be held on Thursday 19th November 2009. The 2009 Club competition guidelines are now available.
2008 AGM
The 2008 AGM was held on 20th November in the Sydney CBD at 280 Pitt Street. You can see some photos from the AGM taken by John Moxon (President, Parramatta Computer Pals for Seniors) on his Google Albums.

At the annual general meetings, the results of three of the four club competitions - Club Newsletter, Club Website and Creative Writing were announced, and certificates awarded. The Digital Photography competition results were delayed, but announced on December 1.

Nan Bosler also showed a presentation Bridge of Friendship which was an outcome of her February 2008 trip to Seoul, South Korea, where she represented Australia at the request of Microsoft at a conference called The Information Society and the Elderly: Global Perspectives Conference.
ASCCA's Club Competitions
Each year ASCCA runs competitions for member clubs to showcase their skills with digital photography, websites, newsletters and creative writing.
The 2009 Competition includes a new competition - Photo Stories. The Guidelines for all the competitions were announced on 22nd April at the ASCCA members' meeting.

TechnoSeniors EXPOs and other ASCCA and club events
Every year during Seniors Week - funding permitting - ASCCA holds TechnoSeniors EXPOs and
promotes Seniors Week computer club events on its website.
ASCCA's annual two day conferences in Sydney
11th Annual Conference, 18-19 August, 2009
The 2009 conference will again be held at the popular Powerhouse Museum at Sydney's Haymarket. Put Tuesday 18th and Wednesday 19th August in your diary NOW!
And trainers and club management - plan your courses and meetings around these dates so that as many of your members as possible can attend.
10th Annual Conference, 27-28 August, 2008
In 2008, ASCCA celebrated its 10th birthday on 27th and 28th August at Sydney's Powerhouse Museum.

ASCCA's Queensland forum
Inaugural Queensland Forum, September 30, 2006
ASCCA's first Forum for Queensland club members and others was held at

ASCCA's residential workshops
Periodically, ASCCA holds a residential workshop, out of Sydney, most recently in Newcastle in 2007.
Digital Cinematography: 4th Annual Residential Workshop, May 7-8th, 2007
ASCCA's 2007 workshop was held at the Bimet Executive Lodge, 121 Union Street, The Junction (Newcastle, NSW).
Presenters and workshop leaders included Emma McKenny from Yarnteen, Annette Stuckey from Westlakes Seniors Computer Club, Sandra Brophey from Computer Pals for Seniors - Forest; and Tony Lenn from the ASCCA Office/ Mosman Seniors Computer Club. Sessions included Microsoft MovieMaker, PhotoStory 3 and storyboarding. Whilst one group was attending practical sessions on these applications, the other group participated in discussions on blogging - using Wordpress, RSS feeds and using IPODs and other media players.

ASCCA's quarterly Club Members Forum
Apart from the AGM and annual two day conference, ASCCA holds quarterly forums, in Sydney at Level 1, 280 Pitt Street, for interested club members.
Participants - management committee members and other interested club members - can expect to be briefed about ASCCA activities, share innovative club ideas and activities and listen to interesting speakers.
June Forum
The most recent Members' Forum was held on 9th June 2009. This was the program (29KB). The main theme at this forum was eSecurity. Find out more on ASCCA's eSecurity page. ASCCA's local events
ASCCA holds a number of local events, ranging from public forums to establish the potential
to develop computer clubs in new areas; train-the-trainer courses for clubs in a specific area;
and hands-on computer courses in isolated or otherwise needy areas.
The most recent local forum was held at Bateman's Bay
Other recent examples have been:
- public forums in Parramatta and Muswellbrook and the Bega Valley to guage interest in a computer club
- a train-the-trainer course in Hanging Rock near Nundle in NSW
- hands-on training using ASCCA's portable laptop laboratory in Bega and Bulli
- a public forum in the Bega Valley to guage interest in a computer club
