The First "Computer Pals for Seniors" in Australia, was launched with the support of Ku-ring-gai Council, in March 1991 at the Lindfield Senior Citizens Centre. Using a computer given by the Council, the first lesson was to send an Email.
In the same year the Club was invited to present a paper to the International Conference of "Computer Pals Across the World", in Germany. This drew emails from many parts of the world. With continued support from the Council, the Club has grown, and others have been set up. Besides the Monthly Meetings, individual tuition in Word, Excel, and the Internet is available by appointment.
