The club commenced in 1999 following a public meeting. The club's major sponsor is Holroyd Council, which initiated a pilot project called Holroyd Seniors Do IT in 2002, with funding through the NSW Premier's Seniors IT Strategy. This training has been continued by the Club as a community initiative.
People undertaking this course are encouraged to become fee paying members of the Computer Pals, with access to a broader range of courses. Training is currently offered for one hour sessions each day, generally 9 am, 10.30 am, 12pm, 1.30 pm and 3pm. Check the website for more details of courses and times.
