Club history and features

The club began in February 2001 and operates from The Plaza, Bathurst Street, Abermain. 2326 We are open on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10am till 2pm. Membership is open to seniors of 50 and over and totals 50 at this date. It must be mentioned at this time that Joanne our Training Coordinator is a young mother and donates many hours of work to our club. General Meetings are held on the last Wednesday of each month and Tutors meetings held on the second Thursday of each month. We rent a room at the Plaza from the Council but must vacate during the Eisteddfod.

Five computers (not late models) are operating and in our little room have space for one more. Printers (also early models) plus one new one purchased recently. We are registered as a non-profit organization, which is run totally by volunteers, and all of our equipment has been generously donated. Our long-term aim is to obtain larger premises, more computers, more tutors, to expand our activities.
