The Mangrove Mountain Seniors Computer Club was formed under the auspices of the Community Technology Centre at Mangrove Mountain Incorporated t/as CTC@MangroveMountain on 25th November 2004.
The aim of the Club is to provide a relaxed atmosphere in which older members of the local community who are interested can learn about computers and what they can do for them at their own pace.
This was extended to include all members of the community, regardless of age, now recognised more formally at the 2007 Annual General meeting by the name change to Mangrove Mountain Computer Club.
The MMCC has access to the equipment and facilities that were funded jointly by the Commonwealth Government and the NSW State Government and which are administered by the Community Technology Centre at Mangrove Mountain Incorporated. The facilities are located at the Old Fire Shed, 6 Waratah Road, Mangrove Mountain and include 12 workstations with ADSL broadband access to the Internet.
