Bateman's Bay Seniors keen to set up a Computer Club

On Friday June 29, 2007, ASCCA representatives Margaret Tucker and John Moxon held a public meeting for seniors at the Catalina Country Club. The meeting aimed to identify the extent of interest of local residents in setting up a computer club for seniors in Bateman's Bay or other areas within the Eurobodalla Shire.
About 17 local residents from Moruya, Bateman's Bay, Tuross Heads and surrounding districts attended the meeting, together with Steve Picton, Eurobodalla Shire Council's Social Planner.
Participants decided to establish a Steering Committee to look at a suitable model for the Shire. For further information, contact the ASCCA office by email, or phone 9286 3871; or Steve Picton by email or phone him on 4474 1066.
After lunch, John Moxon ran training sessions, using ASCCA's portable laptop system (10 machines) on Google's Picasa 2 and Microsoft's Photo Story 3. Both are free downloads.
ASCCA is grateful to the Catalina Country Club for making the venue available for the seminar free of charge, and to Eurobodalla Shire Council for assistance with publicity.
